Returns & Replacements

Per the ACCC's Consumer Guarantee, we provide returns or refunds for significant damage or defections to a vinyl record. If you receive a significantly damaged, defective, or incorrect item(s) from Vinyl Messi, you may return the product(s) within 14 days of delivery. When we receive the item(s) and verify the return of product(s), we will send you a replacement(s) or issue a full refund for the item and delivery.

Please note that the provided cover artwork, vinyl colour, and track listings serve as a general reference and may differ from the actual product. As our Terms of Service state, we are not responsible if the information is not accurate, complete or current. Any reliance on this information is at your own risk. 

Please choose carefully when ordering on Vinyl Messi. Once you have ordered the item, you are committed to the purchase unless you have good reason to cancel. In accordance with new laws from the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission - you are not automatically entitled to a refund if you simply change your mind or you later discover that you made the wrong choice.

Damages and issues

Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is significantly defective or damaged or if you received the wrong item so we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Exceptions/non-returnable items

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

Returns Procedure

If you are to arrange for your goods to be returned, please follow the procedure outlined below :

Please contact us at help@vinylmessi.com with your intention to return the goods stating your order number and the item(s) you would like to return and the reason why. A representative of our Customer Service Team will get back to you with instructions on how to return the item(s).

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unused and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

Any records returned to us will be checked on our turntables. If we can replicate the issue, then we will begin the refund process. The record will be returned to the customer if we cannot reproduce the reported fault. Please note that the customer will be responsible for covering the return postage in such cases.

Refunds

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.

Restocking fees

Unless the product is defective or the return is a direct result of an error on our part, we charge a restocking fee of 25% of the purchase price, which would be applied through a total reduced refund or credit. The restocking fee covers the costs incurred for packaging, labour and merchant fees.

Shipping

The customer is responsible for covering the shipping costs to return the item. Please be aware that original shipping costs are non-refundable. The delivery time for an exchanged product may vary depending on your location.

We do not guarantee the arrival of returned items. For items valued over $75, we recommend using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance.
